Michelle Neufeldt
Owner & Instructor
As founder of Fit for Change (est. 2008) and co-founder DanceSTRONG (2013), Michelle is dedicated to empowering individuals to transform their lives through fitness. Her background as a retired registered social worker provides her with a unique understanding of individual needs and motivations, which she integrates into her coaching approach. Holding certifications as a personal trainer (Canfitpro, AFLCA, TRX) and nutritional specialist (ACE), she offers comprehensive guidance on the path to a healthier, stronger you. Outside of helping clients achieve their goals, she is an avid outdoor enthusiast.

Pierie Danysk
Owner & Instructor
Pierie has 10 years of ballet training and 20 years experience as a competitive Highland Dancer. In the Highland Dancing world, she won many Championship titles, trained several National and International champions and her choreographic skills are well recognized Nationally and Internationally. After running a successful dance school for 27 years, she left the highland world and began teaching dance fitness. Blending her strengths in both dance and choreography, Fit for Change provides the perfect outlet for her. When she's not teaching, Pierie enjoys golfing, puzzling, cooking and getting away from Calgary in the winter whenever possible.

Jessie Donaghy
Instructor
Jessie has had an addiction to dancing since childhood. Her mother Kim is a former professional Ballroom dancer and teacher so dancing, performing and creativity was an integral part of her life. Jessie started Ballroom dance lessons when she was eight years old and successfully competed with various partners for more than 10 years. After hanging up her competition shoes, Jessie began teaching in 2020. Known as a free, fun and outgoing spirit, Jessie’s contagious personality is an inspiration to many of her students. She loves travelling, dogs, reading, shopping, bubble baths and white wine! Welcome to the team, Jessie! We are thrilled to have you join us at Fit for Change!

Kim Donaghy
Instructor
Kim has been a professional ballroom dance instructor since 1980. Considered a pioneer for developing the dance scene in Calgary, Kim was the dance director for The University of Calgary Ballroom Dance Club for 18 years. She also taught for many Phys. Ed. departments for both Senior and Junior High Schools in the City of Calgary. Kim competed for Canada both in latin and ballroom where she excelled to become a Canadian semi-finalist. In addition to that, in 2005 she was the World Champion in the Diamond Showcase Division at the World Country and Western Dance Championships in Nashville. Kim now spends her time travelling as a professional ballroom judge, enjoying her family and sharing her love of dance with us at Fit for Change!

Virginia Posadas
Instructor
Virginia is living proof that you can realize your fitness goals at any age. After being diagnosed with borderline osteopenia in 2011, her doctor advised her to maintain a regular exercise program in order to strengthen her bones. That’s when she took her passion for all things dance, discovered Fit for Change, and reversed her medical diagnosis. On her journey to achieving optimum health, Virginia also found a love for teaching. Her enthusiasm for DanceStrong and her welcoming, positive attitude draws participants of all ages and fitness levels to DanceStrong classes. She’s a shining inspiration to the more mature devotees. Outside of the fitness world you will find Virginia enjoying golf & gardening during the summer and baking all kinds of delicacies during the colder months.
